CSL Notary
Notary services are offered Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday, 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and are by appointment only.
You can make a notary appointment online or by phone at 360-755-3985. Please review the following information to ensure a successful visit.
- Documents must be completed but not signed
- Bring a valid government-issued photo ID, OR a credible witness who can provide a valid photo ID and swear to or affirm your identity
- All individuals signing a document must be present and provide a valid photo ID, including minors.
- We cannot:
- Prepare a legal document
- Give advice on legal matters
- Notarize documents in which the notary has a personal interest
- Notarize Wills, Trusts, I-9 forms, mortgage/loan documents, or make or note a commercial protest
- Library staff cannot act as a witness, and witnesses may not be solicited from patrons using the library
- We do not make copies of or certify copies of birth certificates, death certificates, marriage certificates, or divorce certificates.
- Notaries will not provide service if the document or the circumstances of the request raise any issues of authenticity, ambiguity, doubt, or uncertainty for the library.
- The notary must be able to read and understand what they have been asked to notarize
- The notary and the individual whose document is being notarized must be able to communicate directly with each other. Translators are not permitted.
