The American Relief Society, a group of wealthy women raising money to transport medical supplies, holds a charity ball where Adams runs a gambling concession. He plans to bilk them of the profits, but he falls in love with Dorothy Bryant, a prominent socialite, and changes his mind. But Zepp, his gambling partner, forces him to steal the money, but he sends it back to Bryant. He uses his ship to transport the medical supplies.
